Performance Experience

I have been performing for over a decade and have learned to love every character I have portrayed. My approach to each character consists of heavy table work and dramaturgy with a combination of emotional recall, systems and methods. Each new role to me serves a greater purpose to not only bring the directors vision to life but also move the community at large. I see everything I do as an avenue for social change.

Though I am a female bodied performer, I express my gender identity in a number of ways. I am comfortable with portraying and have experience playing both female and male roles. I believe that assigned gender should not limit the scope and ability of performers, however consideration of the playwright's purpose, director's intent and respectful, responsible casting and performances is imperative.

My performance expands beyond just the theatrical space and into the world of dance. As of 2022, I have been involved with Cottey's dance department. Though growing up I was never labelled as a "good" dancer, I have found that self expression and connecting with an audience through movement does not always require a "good" dancer but a passionate one. Though since having colligate training, my skills, technique and confidence has grown tremendously. I most enjoy combining written works of poetry with music and dance to advocate for chance.

Though acting may not be my long term goal, I do view it as an essential element to becoming a well rounded artist collaborating with others and a holistic director with hopes of spending time in educational theatre.
